On March 6, 2026, JBNG kicked off an ambitious musical journey with the release of “Many Moons,” the first chapter in the artist’s 10-month rollout leading to the full concept album Breathe. With a new single scheduled to drop on the 6th of every month until December 6, the project already feels bigger than a typical release cycle, it’s a slow-burning story unfolding in real time.

“Many Moons” sets the mood immediately with deep, textured male vocals that carry a slightly mysterious weight. The song leans into introspective songwriting, letting listeners sit with lines that feel like fragments of late-night thoughts. Lyrics such as “Oh, I’m healing in my tongue” hint at personal recovery and reflection, while other moments touch on confusion, identity, and searching for a place in the world. It’s not the kind of song that spells everything out for you; instead, it leaves space for listeners to interpret the emotion between the lines.

The track benefits from the strong creative circle surrounding the project. Recorded with David Zier at Echoplant Studios, “Many Moons” features contributions from accomplished musicians Dave Martone, Chelsey Laing, and Matt Koopman. Their involvement adds layers to the production, giving the song a textured atmosphere that sits somewhere between moody rock and cinematic alternative soundscapes.

Another key part of the experience is the visual component. Each release in the Breathe campaign will come with a music video created by The Dor Brothers, turning the entire rollout into a multimedia series rather than just a playlist of songs. If “Many Moons” is any indication, the visuals will likely mirror the same introspective tone found in the music.

As the opening piece of JBNG’s fifth concept album, “Many Moons” feels like a doorway rather than a destination. It introduces the emotional landscape of Breathe while hinting that there’s much more to uncover in the months ahead. By the time December arrives, listeners won’t just have an album, they’ll have followed a long narrative arc that unfolds one song at a time.
