With “MOTHS TO FIRE,” The Fear prove they’re not here to play it safe. Following the ferocious impact of their debut singles WHITE NOISE and SATELLITE, the Manchester-based rock outfit turn inward, delivering a raw and emotionally explosive love song that’s as blistering as it is intimate.

Written by drummer and co-producer Benj Ashmead for his wife, “MOTHS TO FIRE” burns with sincerity beneath a storm of heavy riffs, thunderous drums, and guttural vocals from Micky Satiar. It’s a track that bleeds vulnerability while embracing the chaos of passion. The lyrics: “I wanna touch you like moths to fire… I wanna lose myself inside you”, hit with poetic intensity, capturing the destructive beauty of desire, obsession, and emotional surrender.

The Fear expertly balances melodic hooks with crushing aggression, building on their signature blend of electronic flourishes and hardcore foundations. The track’s production (with David Radahd-Jones and Randy Slaugh returning) is cinematic yet unfiltered, letting each breathless lyric and roaring guitar scream with purpose.
