A spokesperson for the New Force, Shalimar Abbiussi, has been granted bail by the Kaneshie District court a week after her arrest and subsequent charge for allegedly obtaining a student permit through false declaration. Ms. Shalimar, who pleaded not guilty, has been a subject of concern for her group, as indicated in their December 7 press release.
Last week, the Kaneshie District court had given the prosecution a few days to complete investigations, leading to the temporary remand of Ms. Shalimar. She appeared in court today, accompanied by officers from the National Bureau of Investigations, while supporters displayed placards with messages like ‘Justice for Shallie.’
