Nicki Minaj is facing a lawsuit alleging that she damaged borrowed jewelry. The lawsuit, as reported by TMZ, claims that the rapper owes fees for personalized jewelry, but her lawyer denies this and suggests that the jeweler is using her for publicity.

A jeweler in West Hollywood has filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj, stating that they lent her some jewelry, which is a common practice among celebrities. However, when the jewelry was returned, a part of it was reportedly broken, which is unusual. According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Roseark Jewels Store and Nicki’s stylist Brett Alan Nelson had an agreement that Roseark would loan jewelry to Nicki for a public appearance.

The agreement allegedly stated that Brett was responsible for any damage to the jewelry while it was in his care and that the jewelry should be returned within a week.

According to Roseark, Nicki’s stylist missed the deadline for returning 66 pieces of jewelry, and when payment was eventually made, a pair of earrings and a leaf ring had visible damage.

A source close to Nicki claims that everything was delivered on time as promised, and the jeweler was only made aware of a missing stone after having the jewelry for some time.

Roseark claims that they provided Brett with invoices totaling $26,239.50 plus interest for the damages but has not received payment despite multiple attempts.

Roseark is suing both Nicki and her stylist for the money, even though it seems Nicki had no direct involvement with the jeweler. Nicki’s attorney, Jordan Siev, states that they have not been presented with any evidence that the jewelry was damaged by Nicki. They believe the lawsuit is an ordinary insurance claim by the jeweler seeking attention and undeserved payment. They intend to vigorously defend against the lawsuit.
