Several Nollywood celebrities participated in the memorial service for the late actor, Obinna Nwafor, popularly recognized as Saint Obi. The candlelight ceremony took place on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The occasion was a somber gathering that brought together family members, close friends, and well-wishers who came to pay their respects to the departed actor.

During the service, the actor’s children delivered readings from the Bible, and gospel artist Frank Edwards performed some reflective songs.
Attendees were also treated to a brief documentary highlighting the actor’s life. Saint Obi, a seasoned performer, passed away on May 7, 2023, in Jos, following a private struggle with an undisclosed illness.

As per the family’s announcement, the actor’s final resting place will be in his hometown, Alaenyi Ogwa, Imo State. The burial ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 18, 2023.Some actors at the event were Victor Osuagwu, Charles Okafor, Segun Arinze and Lilian Bach.
