Tijani, reportedly aligned with Jalulah’s faction, was targeted after he attended a meeting of Gariba’s supporters, allegedly to gather information. Recounting his experience, Tijani stated he had no ill intentions when he approached the group to inquire about their activities. However, he was ambushed by about five supporters who assaulted him severely.

Presently, Tijani is receiving medical care at the Abaase Health Centre.
