Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann, the host of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), shared insights in a frank interview about one of the most significant challenges she encountered and its impact on her life.
She described her failed marriage as a notable setback, recognizing it as a substantial failure due to the societal expectation that marriage signifies a lifelong commitment. Prof. Kaufmann highlighted that her divorce was a challenging phase, yet she has since navigated through it and emerged as a stronger individual.

Despite the upheaval, she acknowledged her blessing of having three children – two daughters and a son – from her marriage to her Caucasian partner.
