All users who have obtained their Ghana Cards are encouraged to complete their SIM card registration by Monday, April 17.
Those who have registered more than ten SIM cards have also been told to go to their nearest mobile network operator “to urgently verify their SIMs on record.”
This is in response to the National Communications Authority’s (NCA) mandate to telecommunications networks to delete subscribers who have yet to register after the March 31 final deadline by Monday, April 17.
The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications stated in a press release that its members, AirtelTigo, MTN, and Vodafone, have extensively invested in procedures to ensure that users who have their Ghana Cards and are ready to register, to do so at multiple touchpoints set up across the country.

As a result, the Chamber stated that it will comply with the NCA’s mandate to totally deactivate any impacted subscriber SIMs “that have not completed the registration by the said date without any further notice or extension of time for subscribers.” “It is critical that network customers continue to have access to emergency and other important services and are not barred from using voice, data, USSD, and mobile money services.” “Subscribers with Ghana cards can avoid this inconvenience by completing stage 2 (the biometric capture) of the registration process.”
