A formal state funeral is scheduled today, November 16, 2023, at the State House forecourt to pay tribute to the late former First Lady Theresa Aba Kufuor. The proceedings will begin with a procession, followed by a burial mass.
After the ceremony in the capital, the body will be transported to Kumasi in the Ashanti region, where the final funeral rites will take place at Heroes Park on Saturday, November 18.

Mrs. Kufuor passed away at the age of 87 on Sunday, October 1, at her residence in Peduase, surrounded by her family. Additionally, a Requiem Mass in her honor was conducted on Wednesday at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra.
