The Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has called on the Sanitation Minister to promptly step aside to facilitate an investigation into the alleged theft of over $1 million from her residence.
Dr. Forson stated that this step is necessary for Ghanaians to determine the source and legitimacy of these funds.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the former Deputy Finance Minister expressed his concern that this matter has the potential to undermine the principles of probity and accountability. He emphasized that recent revelations regarding the substantial amount of money found in a Ghanaian Minister’s private residence cannot be overlooked.

Dr. Forson asserted that such a serious development requires an immediate and impartial investigation to establish the source and legitimacy of the funds.
He further stated that the people of Ghana deserve a government that serves their interests with honesty and dedication.
