Rapper 50 Cent’s endeavor to acquire BET has not resulted in success. In May, the entrepreneur behind G-Unit expressed his keenness to become a partial owner of BET, the renowned network catering to the Black audience, which currently falls under Paramount’s group of networks, including MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon.

Teaming up with director Kenya Barris and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, and with the involvement of a CVC investment firm, he put forth an effort to place a bid for the BET Media Group.

Nonetheless, on August 18, the executive producer of Power took to Instagram to reveal that he was unable to secure the network due to Paramount’s elevated asking price, leaving him dissatisfied.

“We will get them next time, @shaq that shit wasn’t worth 3,000,000,000. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” he wrote.

Moving on to other developments involving 50 Cent, Fat Joe recently addressed their longstanding feud and how it positively impacted his reputation within the hip-hop community.

During an interview with Cam Capone News on Tuesday, July 25, Fat Joe admitted that, in hindsight, he didn’t hold any ill feelings toward the rapper known for “Many Men,” despite their exchange of words. On the contrary, he mentioned that the situation brought about a transformation in how he was perceived by others.

Like, y’know, people feared Fat Joe and the Terror Squad in that way, y’know? So for (50 cent) talking about Fat Joe in the same city … the funeral homes was making bids.”
