Family of Ghanaian man shot dead in US appeals for funds to support his children

The family of Edward Fordjour, a Ghanaian man tragically shot and killed in the United States, is seeking financial assistance to support his children.

Edward, also known as Nana Kwame, was a vibrant 42-year-old man married to Abena Difie Danquah and father to three children aged 11, 4, and 2.

On the morning of Saturday, May 4, 2024, Edward was shot five times on Troubadour Way in Newark, Delaware.

Police and ambulance services arrived to find him with gunshot wounds and rushed him to Christiana Care Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

The New Castle County Police Delaware’s Major Crimes Unit and Evidence Detection Unit are investigating his death.

Edward’s brother, Brian, is leading the fundraising effort, with all contributions directed to Edward’s widow to aid in the care and upbringing of their children.
