A Kenyan chef named Maliha Mohammed has outdone Nigeria’s Hilda Baci in the longest cooking marathon, achieving this feat a few months after expressing her intention to pursue it. Hilda Baci held the previous record, having cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes. She was officially recognized by Guinness World Records on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Chef Mohammed commenced her cooking marathon on August 11 and unofficially set a new record by cooking for a total of 95 hours and 15 minutes. A mother of two, she had previously broken the Guinness World Record in 2019, and she shared images online to showcase her latest achievement.

However, confirmation of Chef Mohammed’s new cooking record by Guinness World Records is still pending.
