Entrepreneur Afua Asantewaa, based in Akwaaba Village, Accra, Ghana, remains resolute in her endeavor to set a new record for the longest singing marathon by an individual.
As she embarks on the third day of this extraordinary musical challenge, she is garnering increasing support from an enthusiastic audience.
Commencing on December 24 and scheduled to conclude on December 27, 2023, the singing marathon has captured the attention of a wide audience in Ghana.

On Christmas day, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia graced the occasion, expressing his solidarity with Asantewaa. Before attending, Bawumia took to social media to offer words of encouragement, urging Asantewaa to persist in her pursuit of breaking the record established by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare. His post conveyed, “Wishing Afua Asantewaa Aduonum all the best as she takes on the challenge of breaking the singathon record set by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare. Your passion and talent shine brightly, and I am confident you’ll definitely make history. Keep shining your heart out. We are with you.”
A multitude of entertainment figures, including Nana Ama McBrown, Kwabena Kwabena, Efya, Sista Afia, Afronitaa, Delay, Cina Soul, Clemento Suarez, Akuapem Poloo, Lawyer Nti, Piesie Esther, and OB Amponsah, were present at the venue to show their support for Asantewaa.
