I don’t do music to earn awards – Kojo Antwi

Maestro Kojo Antwi has stated that he does not perform music in order to win an award.
Kojo Antwi is one of the oldest musicians in the music industry, having created an impression with his sons and being relevant for many years. Despite his remarkable talent, the musician has stated that he does not sing for awards or validation.

Some people, according to the famed Highlife star, may misinterpret his statement after he received recognition through an award scheme. It is his ambition, he says, to bless the world with his God-given ability.

“I hope people don’t misunderstand me.” I don’t attend all of the awards ceremonies that we put on. I don’t perform my music in order to earn an award. God has blessed me with this skill, and if he blesses me with a song, I will share it with the rest of the world. That is what I am looking for,” Kojo Antwi stated during an interview with Abieku Santana on Okay FM.

“It’s lovely to win a Grammy and see others win, but as an artist, it’s not my thing,” he said emphatically.
