Rita Dominic swiftly responded to widespread media reports suggesting that she and her husband had recently welcomed a pair of twins. These reports began circulating on social media on September 3, 2023, and were picked up by numerous mainstream blogs without proper verification.

The news was particularly prominent on Twitter, which is now referred to as X, where it was stated, “Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike, have welcomed twins.”
However, the actress known for her role in “Light in the Dark” addressed the matter directly, unequivocally denying it in a social media post. She simply stated, “You know you are lying.” Rita Dominic and Fidelis Anosike exchanged marital vows at Selby Abbey, North Yorkshire, England, on a Saturday.
Their wedding took place at the historic abbey, which boasts a rich history spanning over 900 years. Fidelis Anosike, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Folio Group, which owns the Daily Times and Miss Nigeria pageant, is now Rita’s spouse.
The bridal party included TV presenter Michelle Dede as the Chief Maid of Honour, Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw, Vicky Sogunro, and Olivia Waturuocha, all dressed in white attire. Fellow Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha also attended. Rita Dominic had previously kept her relationship with Fidelis Anosike under wraps until she revealed his identity on December 26, 2020.
The couple announced their engagement in April and held their traditional wedding on April 19, 2022, at Rita’s late father’s compound, the residence of the traditional ruler of the community, Eze Marcellenus J.O Waturuocha, in Aboh, Mbaise, Imo State.
On their traditional wedding day, Nollywood stars including Chidi Mokeme, Ini Edo, Uche Jombo, Lily Afegbai, and others were seen joyfully celebrating their colleague by dancing in their hotel rooms.
