The Ghana Police Service has expressed its gratitude to the public for their support and cooperation during the three-day protest led by members of the Democracy Hub, known as OccupyJulorbiHouse. The police service also issued an apology to the public for any inconveniences they may have experienced during the protest, emphasizing that they do not oppose protests and have consistently provided security for such events.

In a press release dated September 23, 2023, signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, the Director of Public Affairs, the service also announced its intention to meet with the protest organizers for a debriefing session now that the protest has concluded. This, they believe, will help strengthen their relationship and foster better collaboration in the future.
“We therefore urge the public to continue to partner with us as we work towards deepening our democratic credentials and maintaining peace and security in our beloved country,” the release concluded.
