A pregnant woman and two others remain missing following a tragic boat accident on the Oti River in Dambai, located in the Krachi East Municipality.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the boat, carrying 10 passengers from the Dambai market, was en route to Ingyari, a fishing community.
Krachi East National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) officer Jacob Desiavour told Adom News that seven of the passengers have been rescued.

The rescue was a collaborative effort involving the Assembly and Navy operatives, and the survivors were taken to the Dambai Health Centre for medical treatment.
Tragically, a four-year-old girl was declared dead.
Desiavour mentioned that rescue operations are ongoing to find the missing individuals, but the challenging river conditions are hindering the search.
The NADMO Director has urged residents along the river to provide any information that could assist the rescue team.
Meanwhile, the families of the missing are anxiously awaiting news about their loved ones.
The family of the pregnant woman is particularly distressed, fearing for her safety and that of her unborn child.
