According to information gathered by 3news.com, a police officer called Constable David Gbati was allegedly killed by a senior officer following an argument. The incident happened while they were both travelling to Awaso in the Bibian-Anwhiaso-Bekwai Municipality in the Western North Region on the night of Friday.

The head of the Western North Regional Police Intelligence Unit (PIU), ASP Frank Nsiah, who was reportedly drunk, got into an altercation with his junior colleagues who were travelling with him in a Ghana Police Service vehicle, and this resulted in the shooting of Constable Gbati. The body of the deceased officer has been taken to the Sefwi Wiawso Government Hospital morgue, and ASP Frank Nsiah has been arrested and detained at the Sefwi Bekwai Police Station for further investigations.
