Shaffy explained that while her ex-husband, Mr. Akinrimisi, was a good father to their children, the challenges posed by the geographical distance ultimately led to their divorce. Despite her efforts to frequently travel between Nigeria and the US to see him, she eventually came to the realization that she desired more from their relationship.

Shaffy said: “He [my ex-husband] was a good father to his children. But I got to a place where I wanted more. And I would always travel back and forth.
