Singer Sista Afia seems to have a romantic interest in Black Stars player Antoine Semenyo and has made inquiries about his relationship status through a social media post shortly after Ghana faced off against the Central African Republic (CAR).
Ghana secured their spot in the Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Ivory Coast next year, with a victory over CAR at the Baba Yara Stadium. Goals from Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah contributed to this success, with Semenyo playing a crucial role.

He was instrumental in securing the second goal for Ghana by skillfully dispossessing a CAR player and setting up Nuamah to score. In the dying moments of the game, Semenyo even struck the woodwork with another impressive effort. His outstanding performance caught the attention of Ghanaians, including the ‘Jeje’ hitmaker, Sista Afia, who promptly took to her Facebook page to inquire if Semenyo was single, hinting at a potential connection.
Her post read, “Is Semenyo Single? I’m just asking.” Antoine Semenyo is a professional footballer who plays for AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League and represents the Ghana national team. While primarily known for his role as a striker, Semenyo has also played as a right winger or second striker during his career. He has Ghanaian heritage but was born in England. Semenyo made his international debut for Ghana on June 1, 2022, in a 3-0 victory over Madagascar during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.

On November 14, 2022, Semenyo was included in Ghana’s 26-man roster for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He signed a £10 million contract with AFC Bournemouth for a duration of four and a half years on January 27, 2023. On April 30, 2023, he scored his first league goal for the team in a 4-1 victory against Leeds at home.
