Celebrities throng Akwaaba Village to support Asantewaa’s Sing-A-Thon world record attempt

Several Ghanaian celebrities gathered at the Akwaaba Village to show their support for Afua Asantewaa, a Ghanaian entrepreneur aiming to set a new record for the longest singing marathon by an individual.

Prominent figures such as Nana Ama McBrown, Sista Afia, Cina Soul, Clemento Suarez, Lawyer Nti, and OB Amponsah were among those who demonstrated strong backing for Asantewaa.

As of the time of this report, Afua Asantewaa had completed approximately 30 hours of singing in her quest to break the current Guinness World Sing-A-Thon record, which stands at 105 hours.

A considerable number of Ghanaians also flocked to the venue to support Asantewaa’s world record attempt, with attendees enthusiastically enjoying each musical performance.

Social media platforms have seen an outpouring of well-wishes, notably from Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, who expressed his support in a post, saying, “Wishing Afua Asantewaa Aduonum all the best as she takes on the challenge of breaking the Sing-A-Thon record set by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare. Your passion and talent shine brightly, and I am confident you’ll definitely make history. Keep shining your heart out. We are with you.”

If all goes according to plan, Asantewaa is expected to reach and surpass the world record on Thursday morning.
