A potential disaster was averted at the Global Exchange Forex bureau in Ablekuma Anyaa, Greater Accra, when astute staff thwarted an attempted robbery. According to eyewitnesses, an unidentified individual entered the forex bureau with a bag on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 9:30 am.

Upon trying to retrieve an AK47 rifle from the bag, an observant attendant quickly exited through the backdoor, raising an alarm and alerting those nearby. Faced with the exposure of his plan, the suspect hastily fled the scene.
Law enforcement is currently in pursuit, and the public is advised to stay vigilant. The incident was captured on camera, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.
