New details reveal that Lance Corporal Danso Michael, a military officer, was fatally shot during a dispute over land ownership in Millennium City, Kasoa. Surprisingly, Danso was not the rightful owner of the contested land, which ultimately led to the tragic incident.
Danso, along with his colleague Lance Corporal Omar Abdul Rahman and another colleague, Lance Corporal Ametus Matthew, went to the site upon hearing about people encroaching on the land.

Despite not being the landowner, they intervened to stop the activity and accompanied the rightful owner to report the issue at the Millennium City Police Station.
While at the station, individuals claiming ownership of the land, accompanied by two others suspected to be land guards, confronted the soldiers, resulting in gunfire.
Danso, who was on his way to park a vehicle at the station, was hit multiple times by shots fired by a suspect named Benlord Ababio. He later succumbed to his injuries at the Mother and Child Hospital.

Upon realizing that Danso had been shot, the police disarmed and apprehended the perpetrator. Danso’s body has been taken to the 37 Military Hospital morgue.
