
Renowned Nigerian music artist, Divine Ikubor, who goes by the name Rema, has achieved another remarkable feat with his track ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez. This song has now made history by being the first-ever track to maintain its position on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart for a complete year. Chart Data, a data collection company from the United States, announced this achievement on Monday.

For an impressive span of 52 weeks, this hit single has retained its top position on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart. While it peaked at the third spot on the major Billboard Hot 100 chart, it also claimed the number one position on the Canadian Top Songs chart.Furthermore, the track secured a place in the prestigious Guinness World Records as the first-ever No. 1 hit on The Official MENA Chart (the world’s inaugural regional streaming chart). Upon the launch of the MENA Chart by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) on November 29, 2022, ‘Calm Down’ instantly debuted at the top position.
